Co-exhibitor of Wines of Georgia - National Wine Agency
Badagoni Wine Company was founded in 2006 in Kakheti (eastern Georgia), the very heart of Georgian wine production, owning vineyards (over 400 ha) in each micro-zone of this region.
Badagoni produces wines using only native grape varietals from Georgia, utilizing both traditional Georgian and European winemaking techniques. A wide range of Badagoni products comprises still wine, sparkling wine, Chacha, and unique Qvevri wines, vinified in the historic 11th-century Alaverdi monastery cellar.
Badagoni is the pioneer of the use of high-quality standards in the production of Georgian wine through the establishment of the most sophisticated technologies and a partnership with the leading Italian wine research center, "Enosis Meraviglia" led by the top enologist, dr. Donato Lanati.
Despite leading Georgia in bottle production volume, Badagoni consistently maintains high-quality standards, as evidenced by numerous prestigious awards and recognitions on local and international levels.
Since 2017, Badagoni has maintained its position as a top wine exporter, shipping to more than 30 countries.
Furthermore, Badagoni contributes significantly to the growth of wine tourism in Georgia by providing excellent hospitality facilities (4 restaurants and 3 hotels) as well as by funding the advancement of wine education through initiatives like "Qvevri Academy", archeological research and studies of the potential of different Georgian grape varieties among many other things.
