The Moselle valley is home to unique Rieslings with a worldwide reputation. As a member oft the „DER RING Mosel 1899 e.V.“, the Albert Kallfelz winery is one oft the most renowned producers in the Mosel region. The winery currently covers around 60 hectares of vineyards. Most oft them lie in the mineral-rich slate slopes, which are among the best in the world. Unique Riesling wines thrive here, impressing with their delicately fruity and mineral character.
The family winery has been producing wines for more than a hundred years. Today, it is one of the largest and most successful wineries on the Moselle. The philosophy of the winery is: “Wines from idealists for individualists”.
The perfect symbiosis of soil, climate, the Riesling grape and a lot of careful work has resulted in unique Rieslings. The Kallfelz wines have a very intense minerality and are at the same time light, refreshing and fruity.
Weingut Bietighöfer – Southern Palatinate (Pfalz), Germany
Weingut Bietighöfer, located in the southern Palatinate, is a family-run estate led by Stefan Bietighöfer. The winery is Demeter-certified and follows biodynamic principles, focusing on healthy soils, balanced vines, and expressive wines with a clear sense of origin.
The estate focuses on Burgundian varieties such as Weißburgunder (Pinot Blanc), Chardonnay, and Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris), Pinot Noir as well as Sauvignon Blanc. These varieties thrive on the region’s calcareous soils and benefit from a warm climate combined with cool nighttime temperatures, resulting in wines with elegance, structure, and freshness.
Work in the vineyard is carried out by hand with low yields to ensure high-quality fruit. In the cellar, the philosophy is minimal intervention: spontaneous fermentation, aging in 500L tonneaux, and extended lees contact. The wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered, with minimal sulfur, to preserve their authenticity and terroir expression.
The wines of Weingut Bietighöfer have received high acclaim from international critics, including strong ratings from James Suckling and Robert Parker (Wine Advocate).
Bietighöfer wines are defined by precision, minerality, and a balance between depth and drinkability.
The family history goes back to the 13th century. In 1685 our Huguenot ancestors settled in the South Palatinate. 1990 the estate gradually moved to organic viniculture. In 2000 Manfred Hermann Lind was awarded the honorary title “Oekonomierat” for his outstanding services to the wine-growing industry. Since 2019 the 16th generation Elena Lind joins the winery after studying viticulture and oenology (B. Sc.). As organic wine-growers we treat Mother Nature responsibly. The preservation of the soil and the cultivation of rich animal and plant life (biodiversity) are at the centre of long-lasting wine-growing that produces natural results. By gentle nurturing we allow our wines to develop their own character. Natural purification and doing without special treatment vouch for long enjoyment and pleasure without remorse. They lie in the fine yeast until bottling and so assimilate more minerals, fruity fragrance and bio-active substances.

One for all, all for one
“We are the oldest winegrowers’ association in the Palatinate, deeply rooted in the small, picturesque wine town of Deidesheim.” We carry responsibility for tradition and, together with our members, stand for genuine craftsmanship and authentic wines.
Convincing quality — Rieslings and Burgundy varieties from renowned vineyards define us
In total, our winegrowing families cultivate 150 hectares of vineyards around Deidesheim, Ruppertsberg, and Forst. Eighty percent of the vines are white varieties, and 80% of those are Riesling from vineyard sites such as “Paradiesgarten” and “Leinhöhle.” We understand that healthy soils secure our future and serve the environment. Since 2020, we have been certified organic (DE-ÖKO-039).
Our Brand – The Blue Goat
Anyone strolling through Deidesheim will encounter it sooner or later: the goat. It is the symbolic figure of one of the most famous traditions in our region – the Deidesheim Goat Auction. For us, the goat is not simply a trend or a nice motif on a label – it is part of our history. With every label, every sip, and every encounter, we invite you to experience the story of the Deidesheim goat – and to continue writing it together with us and our wines.
