This session explores the unique world of Cognac, from its deep-rooted heritage and strict production standards to its evolving role in modern mixology. Led by Christian Esser—one of a select group of approximately 80 certified Cognac educators worldwide—this masterclass offers both technical insight and practical application.

Participants will gain a clear understanding of Cognac’s origins, including terroir, grape varieties, distillation methods, aging classifications (VS, VSOP, XO), and the craftsmanship that defines quality. The session will then transition into contemporary relevance, showcasing how Cognac is being reimagined behind the bar through innovative cocktails and modern service approaches.

Designed for hospitality professionals, buyers, and educators, this session bridges tradition and innovation—demonstrating how Cognac can elevate both classic and modern beverage programs while driving guest engagement and premium sales.
